Top Underwriting Challenges in Workers’ Comp Today

Top underwriting challenges in the workers compensation market today was the theme of lively group discussions at a breakfast during the 2010 NCCI’s Annual Issues Symposium.

Participants, representing a wide range of property & casualty insurance carriers nationwide, were able to voice their opinions about top issues and vote to select the question for discussion at their table. The lively table discussions focused on ways to grow the book of business, improve service levels with agents and brokers, and how to be nimble in responding to market changes. This report summarizes these group discussions by theme.
