Our application has been built and is in production at our first set of customers. We need to finalize and extend our current performance analysis capabilities to: measure performance of various product functions, identify areas for improvement, and establish baselines for comparison as the application moves forward
Responsibilities:
- Using Radview Webload and internally developed tools, create various user session scenarios.
- Use these scenarios as the basis for applying load on the UMS server and client.
- Ensure appropriate metrics are captured to model the performance of the application to show cost per user and other relevant results.
- Analyze performance data to identify potential bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Suggest (and potentially implement) improvements to the application to improve performance.
- Execute performance test scenarios and perform analysis on a regular basis as application changes.
Key Competencies:
- Ability to measure software application performance characteristics in a repeatable, controlled fashion.
- Ability to identify performance bottlenecks and work constructively and collaboratively with software developers to improve performance.
- Experience with performance measurement and analysis tools. Webload preferred.
- Experience with Flash-based applications.
- Demonstrated ability to meet schedule commitments with high quality software.
- Proven abilities as a contributing member of a high performing engineering team
- Fast moving, self-motivated, creative thinker with exceptional process, analytical, engineering and relationship skills
- Basic understanding of Java, J2EE, App Servers, Workflow, Rules Engines, Flash, and XML technologies
Work Experience:
- 3-5 years experience working on performance analysis for web-based applications
- Insurance domain experience is a plus
Education Expectations:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is a plus
